Chinese authorities-joined hackers have burrowed into U.S. important infrastructure and are waiting around “for just the correct moment to offer a devastating blow,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said on Thursday.

An ongoing Chinese hacking campaign recognised as Volt Typhoon has properly acquired entry to many American providers in telecommunications, strength, drinking water and other critical sectors, with 23 pipeline operators focused, Wray reported in a speech at Vanderbilt University.
