In a horrifying incident, a expecting girl in Punjab was established on fire allegedly by her partner right after an argument on Friday.

The 23-calendar year-previous woman, who was six months pregnant, died on the spot, the police reported.

The incident was described on Friday from Buled Nangal village in the vicinity of Amritsar.

Law enforcement stated the couple had a heated argument on Friday right after which the person tied Pinky to a bed and established her on hearth in a suit of rage. 

“Sukhdev and Pinky had a strained relationship and would quarrel more than numerous difficulties. On Friday also, they had a heated argument following which Sukhdev killed Pinky and fled,” officials said.

The National Commission for Females (NCW) has sought a in-depth report from the Punjab Police . “Appalled by the horrifying incident in Amritsar where a gentleman allegedly set his expecting spouse on hearth. The brutality of this act is unimaginable. Hon’ble Chairperson NCW @sharmarekha has composed a letter to DGP Punjab to arrest the perpetrator and submit an action report in three times. #StopDomesticViolence,” the women’s panel mentioned on X – before identified as Twitter.

A circumstance has been registered and a search is on to arrest Sukhdev who is on the run, officers said.
