At the very least six persons had been killed and five injured in a grisly collision involving two autos on the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway, or Samruddhi Mahamarg, past evening near the Kadwanchi village on Samruddhi Highway in Jalna district, approximately 400 km from Mumbai.

The accident occurred around 11 pm when a Swift Dzire entered the highway from the mistaken facet following refuelling and rammed an Ertiga heading to Mumbai from Nagpur.

So severe was the effect that the Ertiga was flung into the air and landed on the barricade lining the freeway while travellers were despatched traveling out of the auto and on to the highway. The other automobile was a mangled heap of steel.
